Available formats:

  • Individual supervision (virtual or in-person)

  • Small group supervision cohorts (monthly)

Consultation

I offer ISTDP consultation for licensed therapists who are looking for focused support with specific clinical challenges or case dynamics from your therapy sessions. Whether you're navigating stuck processes, reviewing session recordings, or wanting to deepen your clinical formulation, I tailor each consultation to your unique goals.

This work is ideal for:

  • Troubleshooting challenging or resistant cases

  • Enhancing moment-to-moment attunement and timing

  • Clarifying treatment direction using ISTDP principles

Consultations are available virtually and can be scheduled as a one-time meeting or part of an ongoing process.

Training & Process Groups

I offer various group ISTDP trainings and Psychodynamic Process Groups for therapists, including a number of monthly training groups for those new to learning ISTDP as well as those in – or who have completed – the ISTDP Core Training Program.

Upcoming training

Online Workshop – Love and Resistance: Working Where the Unconscious Hides

Beneath every system of resistance lies an unconscious longing for connection. In this workshop, two ISTDP therapists will present videotaped clinical work demonstrating how resistance to love is expressed through character defenses, anxiety pathways, and transference phenomena. Through detailed process analysis, the presenters will illustrate the mobilization of the unconscious therapeutic alliance, the restructuring of resistance, and the unlocking of unconscious feelings that make authentic intimacy and lasting structural change possible.

Presenters and Topics:

David Ibrahim, LMFT – Extended Mobilization of the Unconscious: Liberating the Punitive Superego Through Love and Forgiveness  Teresa (Teri) Scott, LMFT – Between Competence and Connection: Working with Character Resistance.

Friday, November 13, 2026 from 9:00am-1:00pm PDT

Cost: $200 USD
